Creating a pebble pond is a simple yet rewarding DIY project that adds tranquility and elegance to your outdoor space. Follow these steps to install a pebble pond using a plastic reservoir. Materials Needed PondXpert Pebble Pond (P27) Pebbles or decorative stones Pond pump with fountain attachment (P20) Sand or fine gravel Shovel Spirit Level Water Plants (optional, for decoration) Edging materials (e.g., flat stones or bricks) 34 Installing A Pebble Pond Step 1: Select the Location 1. Choose a location that receives partial sunlight to prevent excessive algae growth. 2. Ensure the ground is level and clear of roots, rocks, and other debris. Step 2: Mark and Excavate 1. Place the plastic pebble pond on the ground and mark its outline with string or chalk. 2. Dig a hole slightly larger than the reservoir’s dimensions. 3. Add a 2-inch layer of sand or fine gravel to the base of the hole for stability and leveling. Step 3: Position the Reservoir 1. Place the reservoir in the hole and check that it sits level using a spirit level. 2. Backfill around the edges with soil to secure it, tamping down gently to eliminate air pockets.
